Eva Kumpmann Germany
I have kept this wonderful onion shaped jug for almost twenty years, and I have only just discovered who made it.
Eva Kumpmann was born in Dusseldorf in 1920.
Having finished a pottery apprenticeship she became one of Paul Dreslers potters, then went on to work with Helma Klett.
When she finished her Pottery Masters in 1944 she began her own workshop in Gottingen.
This jug was most likely made in her workshop circa 1950.
Her EKG mark can clearly be seen on the base with what is possibly design number 141.
